I chose to volunteer at my mother’s house, which is on Beltline and Shady Grove. My mother, Reynalda Munguia, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and started undergoing chemotherapy treatment in October. Although breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women and the most common cause of death from cancer in Hispanic women I was dumbfounded by how little I knew about it.
